      Ever find yourself reading in bed at night and the light is still on? Too cold or too lazy to get out of bed to turn it off? No problem. For under $20 you can get an X10 mini-controller that will sit on your night stand and control up to 8 devices. Typically people don't have more than 4 lamps in their bedroom so this will work great. Just plug it in and Set the house code dial to the appropriate letter for the rooms devices.
      Now that we have an established control device for the room we need to get something to actually operate the lamps in the room. I found these Magnavox Lamp modules for under $5 a piece. The normal X10 brands are almost twice that. Get one for each lamp in the room. Set the House code (letter dial) to the same as the mini-controller and then set the number wheel to individual settings, ie: 1,2,3, and 4
